Flooded timber found throughout Lake Fork provides excellent structure for bass fishing.
On this reservoir spring, fall, and winter months are the best times for largemouth bass anglers to be the most successful. During the spring spawn from mid-February in to April soft plastics, lipless crankbaits and spinnerbaits, are the go-to lures when fish congregate near shore. In the summer many anglers fish at night to stay out of the hot sun and are successful using topwater lures, plastic worms and crankbaits. When the fish begin to school in late summer and into fall you will have the most success with topwaters and crankbaits. Jigging spoons, jigs and crankbaits during the winter months are the most effective lures to use.
