When I am in the southern U.S. I feel like I am in the cradle of largemouth bass fishing. There are probably more bass fishermen per capita here than anywhere else in the country. The season can last up to 12 months a year, compared to us in the upper Midwest where ours is several months shorter. That is why the largemouth bass on average are much larger. They feed and grow year around, making them healthier and stronger. The quantity of quality bass lakes, ponds and rivers lends itself to plentiful and varied fishing venues.
